Graduate admissions
The University offer a unique experience to our graduate students, including the opportunity to work with leading academics and with world-class libraries, laboratories, museums and collections. The Graduate Admissions pages of the University of Oxford website are designed for those applying for postgraduate study at the University of Oxford during the 2025-26 academic year
Oxford offers a wide range of graduate-level courses from postgraduate certificates to doctorates. Our courses are challenging and intensive, and our approach to graduate study emphasises your ability to work independently, while supported by a world-class academic community
Funding for graduate courses is competitive, but the University of Oxford offers more support than you might think. For example, for the 2023-24 academic year, just over 45% of our new graduate students received full or partial funding from the University or other funders.
This page provides more information on the range of funding the University offers through scholarships, Research Councils and studentships.
Read our Choosing a course page, and check if the University offers a course you’re interested in applying to. You can find a course in our A-Z or view the departments that offer graduate courses. Read the entry requirements on the course page to make sure that you have the right qualifications.
Admissions are very competitive – make sure you've achieved, or will achieve, at least the minimum grade before you apply.
